Temporary Workers

Working with Strawberry as a Temporary Worker
You may decide to work with Strawberry as a Temporary worker, in which case you are paid directly by ourselves and we are responsible for calculating and deducting your tax and national insurance at source
What are the benefits of working as a Temporary Worker?
- Excellent rates of pay
- You simply complete and submit your worksheets and expense claims to us - we will pay you, and worry about the rest
- Holiday pay
- We will pay for and manage your CRB Disclosure application
- Not having to run your own limited company and the administration involved
Is it right for me?
Yes, if:
- You expect to work with Strawberry for the foreseeable future
- You do not want the additional administration and financial issues involved in running your own business
- You are happy for someone else to manage your payroll
- You are new to contracting and don’t want the responsibilities of running a company
Payments
- It is important that you complete a bank account details (BACS) form and submit it to our accounts department. This will ensure that we have all the information we need to process your payments efficiently
- A completed, authorised worksheet must be submitted on a monthly basis
- Payment is made monthly in arrears directly into your bank or building society account on the 26th of the month, this could take up to 3 working days to clear
- We will confirm payment by sending your pay slip to you by first class post. This will detail the BACS payment date and the bank account credited
Holidays (Temporary workers only)
Strawberry is legally responsible for recording and paying holiday pay to all Temporary workers.
- All workers are statutorily entitled to a minimum of 28 days holiday per annum. If a worker does not work a full year, then their holiday entitlement is pro-rated.
- The 28 days entitlement includes all statutory Bank Holidays
- Strawberry’s 2009/10 holiday period runs from 1st July 2009 to 31st June 2010.
